I’ve briefly thought about writing a blog in the past but when I quickly dismissed it with the thought “Oh, but I hate writing…” Starting a blog was not on my possibilities radar.

New years eve afternoon, the kids were napping and that is usually my time to nap as well. I was laying there talking to Jesus, “Lord, I want a job where I feel fulfilled, the kind of fulfillment that comes from doing Your will.” Immediately I heard/felt/saw (not sure how to describe it) “Write” and I saw myself sitting at my computer blogging!

There were no naps to be had that day

It all happened fast like a fleeting thought but with the strength of a thunderbolt. “You have got to be kidding me, Lord. I HATE to write.” I thought The urge continued. I suddenly felt like I had a shot of espresso and ideas inundated my head. There was no way I was taking a nap that afternoon.

So I “tried it on” so to speak. I thought, “OK… so if…IF I were to write a blog, what would I name it?” All the answers and ideas kept coming. There was no room for excuses to pop into my head. Just a few hours later, just after midnight, the new year of 2020, I was online registering my domain and purchasing my hosting site for the next three years.

A glass (or three) of wine aided me that night

The whole time, I kept thinking, “this is crazy… this is nuts!” In fact, the bank denied my debit card transaction because they thought it was fraudulent activity. Luckily, my bank has the opportunity to receive text messages to approve or disapprove of suspicious activity. “Yes, this is me” I texted and the transaction went through.

So, here I am world! I’m just following that not so subtle voice in my head and heart. I have no idea what will come from it. That is what we are here to find out! So subscribe and follow where this journey takes me. Here’s to a new year!
